Clipboard data

Your clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac and never leaves your device. We never see it. ChiliPaste listens for keyboard events to function, but it does not log your typing — only the events needed to trigger copying and pasting are captured.

Internet access

The app connects to the internet only for automatic updates and license key checks. Any future feature that goes beyond this will be described in release notes and made optional.

Downloads

When you download the app, we log the event anonymously — no personal information, just basic stats like country and referral source so we know how people find us.

Purchases

If you buy a license, your email address is collected by our payment processor to deliver your license key and receipt. We don't store your payment details. All data we collect is anonymised. Any personal data held by Son of a Bjork AB is limited to what arises from direct communication between us and you as a customer.

Legal basis

ChiliPaste is made by Son of a Bjork AB (org. nr 559461‑5956), Sweden. These practices are governed by Swedish law, which incorporates strict European legislation — including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — governing how personal data is collected, stored, and used.
