What is ChiliPaste?

ChiliPaste is not just another clipboard manager. It's built for pasting.

ChiliPaste solves this. We don't just store your clipboard history. We categorize it. We make it searchable. All without the need for learning new key combinations.

Just ⌘C and ⌘V. Keep holding down ⌘ and use ← → ↑ ↓ to quickly move to the thing you need. It's that simple.

Common questions

Can I get a refund?

Absolutely. If ChiliPaste isn't for you, request a refund within 14 days via the email you received with your license key. If you run into any problems with that, reach out to us at hello@sonofabjork.se.

Why can't I paste into [app name]?

What can be pasted into an app, and how it behaves, is decided by the app itself. It's outside of ChiliPaste's control. Some apps (or websites) support pasting of files, for example, while others don't.

Does it work with password managers?

ChiliPaste works well with most apps, and password managers are no different. The best way to find out is to first try it out using the free version. There is no way to guarantee that every app is a perfect match, and if they are not, we'd love to hear from you.

Is my clipboard data safe? Does anything leave my Mac?

ChiliPaste does not send your clipboard data to any third party. URLs are fetched over the internet in order to provide previews (this can be disabled in Settings). Your data is as safe as any of your local data is.

Will it slow down my Mac?

We recommend testing the free version first, if you're worried about your computer not being fast enough. All data is stored in-memory, and access should be fast. For very large pastes, there can be a slight delay. We welcome feedback on any scenarios you experience where the app is slow.

How do I uninstall ChiliPaste?

Just turn off the app by going to the ChiliPaste menu item and click Quit. Then, drag the app to Trash.

Why is ChiliPaste better than [clipboard manager]?

ChiliPaste is developed to introduce minimal friction, and to not require you to learn a bunch of new keyboard combinations. We don't claim to be better than all others. But we do it pretty darn well, if you ask us ;)

What macOS version do I need?

The current version is compiled for macOS 13 and later. If unsure, try the free version first.
